30 New Social Hype Styles Just Dropped

This is the update I've been most excited about.

We just pushed 30+ new caption styles in our "Social Hype" collection. These are the bold, punchy, in-your-face caption styles that you see on viral TikToks and Reels — the ones that are surprisingly hard to recreate manually.

How We Built These

I spent two weeks doing something slightly obsessive: I downloaded 500+ viral short-form videos across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Then I went through them frame by frame, noting exactly how the captions behaved.

Some patterns I noticed:

The "Hormozi" style — All caps, heavy weight, word-by-word pop-in. The key detail that most tools miss: the keyword gets a different color AND a slight scale bump. It's not just a color change. That tiny scale animation is what makes it feel punchy rather than flat.

The "MrBeast" style — Similar energy but with a background highlight on keywords. What's subtle here is the timing — keywords don't just appear, they land about 50ms after the rest of the sentence renders. That delay creates a "punch" effect.

Word-by-word reveals — This one seems simple until you try to implement it. Each word appears exactly in sync with the audio. Not "roughly at the same time" — exactly. A 100ms offset and the whole thing feels laggy. This is why we invested so heavily in word-level timestamp accuracy.

What's in the Collection

30 styles across a few flavors:

  • Bold pop-in — word-by-word appearance with scale/color animations
  • Keyword zoom — sentence appears, then the keyword zooms and shifts color
  • Stacked text — two-line layout with the active line brighter than the previous
  • Color wave — words light up sequentially as they're spoken, karaoke-style
  • Shake & impact — for hype moments, the text shakes or punches in with a slight camera-shake effect

Each one also comes in 2-3 color variants (bright on dark, dark on light, neon).

One-Click Apply

The whole point of CaptionBolt is speed, so these work like every other style — click it, see the preview, done. No parameters to tweak. If you want the Hormozi look, you click "Hormozi Bold" and that's it. The same one-click caption idea also powers the free auto subtitle generator.

We made some opinionated decisions here:

  • Font size adjusts automatically based on video resolution and word count
  • Position accounts for TikTok's UI safe zones (so captions don't land behind the like button)
  • Animation speed scales with speech pace — faster talkers get snappier animations

You don't have to think about any of this. But it's there.

Try Them

All 30 styles are available now on all paid plans. Free users get access to 5 of them.

Go to the dashboard, upload a video, and scroll to the "Social Hype" category. If you've got a video that could use some energy, this is the collection to try.

We're already working on the next batch — Professional and Music styles are coming in July.
